The architect must be able to distinguish API/application integration workloads from bulk data movement and ELT workloads.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Assess integration requirements and identify workloads appropriate for MuleSoft.\n\n- Define API-led and application integration patterns.\n\n- Design reusable System, Process and Experience APIs where appropriate.\n\n- Identify opportunities to replace duplicate point-to-point integrations with reusable services.\n\n- Develop representative MuleSoft POCs.\n\n- Define security, API management and governance standards.\n\n- Design integration orchestration and exception-handling patterns.\n\n- Evaluate batch/file integration requirements and determine whether MuleSoft is technically and economically appropriate.\n\n- Assess runtime requirements and MuleSoft consumption implications.\n\n- Design logging, monitoring, error handling and operational support patterns.\n\n- Support performance testing and production sizing.\n\n- Develop API specifications and integration interfaces.\n\n- Work with enterprise architecture to establish approved MuleSoft usage patterns.\n\nRequired Skills :\n\n- Strong hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.\n\n- Mule 4 development.\n\n- DataWeave.\n\n- API Manager.\n\n- Runtime Manager.\n\n- Anypoint Exchange.\n\n- API-led connectivity.\n\n- REST/SOAP integration.\n\n- File and database connectors.\n\n- OAuth and enterprise security patterns.\n\n- Error handling and retry/recovery design.\n\n- Deployment and CI/CD.\n\n- Performance and runtime sizing.\n\n- Production support and troubleshooting.\n\nStrongly Preferred :\n\n- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or equivalent experience.\n\n- Experience modernizing legacy ETL/integration environments.\n\n- Experience integrating with Snowflake.\n\n- Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Data Cloud.\n\n- Understanding of MuleSoft licensing and consumption models.\n\n- Experience comparing MuleSoft with data-integration/ELT platforms rather than assuming MuleSoft is appropriate for every workload.\n\nExperience Level :\n\n- 8 -
