Learn more at later.com.\nAbout this position:\nWe're looking for a Manager, Treasury to own the accuracy, integrity, and timely execution of Later's liquidity, customer funds, and creator disbursements. This role sits at the intersection of Treasury and Accounting: you'll manage cash forecasting, billing, and customer collections across multiple entities and banking platforms, and you'll make sure the numbers hold up. You'll partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Systems Engineering, Data, and customer-facing teams, and you'll be the connection point between how money moves and how it's reported. This is a high-impact role for a proactive leader who is close to the work and enjoys untangling complexity, tightening controls, and driving issues to resolution. You'll directly support cash visibility, customer fund accuracy, and financial integrity across the company. We prefer candidates located on the East Coast, ideally in Boston.\nThis is a hybrid position based in Boston, MA with 3 days a week in office, or fully remote for candidates located on the East Coast of the United States.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nCash Management\nOwn key aspects of the monthly financial close within strict timelines.\nPrepare journal entries with clear, accurate supporting documentation.\nPrepare and review monthly general ledger reconciliations on time, including cash, restricted cash, accounts receivable, and accrued campaign and incentive spend accounts.\nProvide thoughtful commentary on monthly financial variance analysis.\nGeneral Ledger\nOwn key aspects of the monthly financial close within strict timelines.\nPrepare journal entries with clear, accurate supporting documentation.\nPrepare and review monthly general ledger reconciliations on time, including cash, restricted cash, accounts receivable, and accrued campaign and incentive spend accounts.\nProvide thoughtful commentary on monthly financial variance analysis.\nAudit & Risk Management\nCoordinate external audits to ensure timely, successful delivery of results.\nOwn select balance sheet accounts, including restricted cash, accrued incentive funds, and certain COS accounts.\nIdentify, communicate, and mitigate accounting and financial reporting risks as they arise.\nLead department-wide cross-training and make sure backups exist for all treasury and accounts receivable functions.\nProcess Improvement\nDrive adoption of new systems and processes that improve operational efficiency.\nReview and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.\nIdentify opportunities to use technology, automation, and AI tools to make financial operations faster and more reliable.\nCross-Functional Partnership\nPartner with FP&A and customer-focused teams to resolve discrepancies, fix process inefficiencies, and speed up issue resolution.\nPartner with Systems Engineering, Data, and Customer Service to build new reports and improve existing ones.\nCollaborate with Systems and Data teams on new system implementations and integrations with our accounting environment.\nPartner with Finance teammates on ad hoc projects and requests.\nWhat success looks like:\nWithin your first 90 days, cash is forecast accurately across all entities, with clear visibility on a consolidated basis.\nCustomer collections are timely, and AR issues are surfaced and resolved quickly.\nReconciliations are complete, accurate, and on schedule every close.\nBy your first audit cycle, audits are delivered smoothly, with risks identified and addressed early.\nWithin 12 months, treasury and AR processes are more efficient, scalable, and controlled, with backups in place for every critical function.\nWhat you bring:\nWe are committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best and most rewarding work of your career. If you identify with any of the following, we encourage you to apply!\nBased on the East Coast\nBachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.\n10+ years of treasury and general ledger accounting experience.\n3+ years of people management experience\nExperience managing teams and a track record of thriving in highly collaborative environments.\nStrong accounting systems experience (NetSuite and Salesforce strongly preferred).\nStrong attention to detail, with experience preparing multiple account reconciliations.\nIntermediate to advanced Excel skills.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to set priorities and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with Stripe and Tipalti in a corporate environment is a plus.\nExperience in the SaaS or technology industry is highly desirable.\nExperience using Claude, ChatGPT, or other generative AI tools to improve analysis, research, reporting, or workflow efficiency is a plus.\nCPA, CTP, or MBA is a plus.\nHow you work:\nWe will do whatever it takes to win: We win when our customers and creators win. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.\nOur salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.\nTo comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings.
