We welcome CPA students and candidates who are actively working toward their professional certification.\nStart date: ASAP\nContract type: Full Time Employee\nWork hours: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM PST\nWork mode: 100% remote\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nManage day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.\nPerform general ledger, bank, and balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.\nMaintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks and other financial management systems.\nAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.\nSupport the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.\nContribute to budgeting, expense tracking, and financial planning activities.\nAssist with payroll processing and related accounting responsibilities.\nSupport internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with established accounting policies and internal controls.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders, external financial partners, and international entities to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure consistent financial reporting.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and improve overall operational efficiency.\nMaintain organized and accurate financial records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations.\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nMust-haves\nPrevious experience in an accounting position involving intermediate-level responsibilities, ideally within a corporate or multi-entity environment.\nProfessional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (required), with strong written and verbal communication skills.\nSolid understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and general ledger management.\nHands-on experience with QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting or financial management platforms.\nPractical experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and account analysis.\nFamiliarity with payroll processes, budgeting, and financial controls.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with financial data.\nExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.\nAbility to work independently while contributing to a geographically distributed team.\nFor this particular position, we require you to be permanently based in Canada.\nEducation & Professional Development\nA degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is considered an asset, but is not mandatory.\nCPA students and candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
