This role directly supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract, where your systems expertise keeps mission-critical enterprise services available and compliant.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nThe candidate will:\nAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2022 and Windows Server 2025, supporting enterprise applications and infrastructure services.\nPerform operating system and application maintenance; account and access management; patching; vulnerability remediation; Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance; configuration management; and general systems administration.\nSupport virtualized, hybrid-cloud, and Software as a Service (SaaS) environments, including tenant administration, identity and access management, service configuration, monitoring, incident response, and vendor coordination as applicable.\nDeploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot containerized applications using approved container technologies and registries.\nSupport Kubernetes-based platforms and workloads, including application deployments, namespaces, role-based access control, configuration and secret management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and patching.\nSupport Windows and Linux container workloads in accordance with approved security, operational, and availability requirements.\nAssist with automation and repeatable deployment processes using PowerShell, Desired State Configuration, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent approved tools.\nPerform daily monitoring to verify the availability, integrity, performance, and security posture of systems, applications, containers, and associated infrastructure.\nRespond to incidents, service requests, and user-support requirements across multiple platforms; document troubleshooting, corrective actions, and lessons learned.\nMaintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration baselines, system diagrams, and recovery procedures.\nCoordinate with cybersecurity, network, cloud, application-development, and service-delivery teams to resolve technical issues and support mission requirements.\nParticipate in maintenance windows and provide occasional after-hours support.\nPerform other duties in support of the Service Delivery Team.\nWhat You Bring\nBasic Requirements:\nMust have 1, or more, year of directly related experience\nMust have experience administering and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments, preferably including Windows Server 2022 and/or Windows Server 2025.\nMust have experience implementing defined cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance activities.\nMust be familiar with Kubernetes concepts, including deployments, services, namespaces, role-based access control, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nMust be familiar with supporting cloud-hosted or Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, including service monitoring, tenant administration, access management, and incident coordination.\nMust have strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, customer-support, communication, and teamwork skills.\nMust be able to adapt to changing priorities and learn emerging technologies.\nMust have experience supporting Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or hybrid-cloud environments.\nMust have experience with scripting and automation, preferably PowerShell; familiarity with Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent tools.\nMust have experience establishing, maintaining, and following documented technical processes and procedures.\nMust have an approved DoD 8570/8140-aligned Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher, as required by the contract.\nMust have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance\nDesired Requirements:\nHave 1, or more, relevant technical certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, containers, virtualization, or automation.\nExperience with BMC Helix/Remedy or comparable IT service-management tools.\nExperience supporting Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or hybrid-cloud environments.\nExperience administering or supporting Kubernetes platforms, such as Azure Kubernetes Service, Red Hat OpenShift, Rancher, or comparable enterprise Kubernetes distributions.\nExperience supporting Windows and/or Linux containers in enterprise environments.\nExperience with scripting and automation, preferably PowerShell;
