careers.\nWe’re now looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our team at our Camden branch.\nThe Role\nThis is a hands-on role where you’ll play an important part in keeping the yard safe, organised and running efficiently, while providing excellent service to our customers.\nWorking as part of a busy branch team, you’ll support the receipt, storage and preparation of timber, building, fencing and landscaping products for customer collections and deliveries.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nLoading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently\n\nPicking and preparing customer orders accurately\n\nOrganising and maintaining stock within the yard\n\nSupporting customers with collections and loading purchases where appropriate\n\nChecking goods for quality and reporting any shortages or damage\n\nWorking closely with branch colleagues, drivers and the sales team\n\nKeeping the yard, warehouse and surrounding areas clean, tidy and well organised\n\nFollowing all company health and safety procedures\n\nUsing yard equipment responsibly and completing all required checks\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe’re looking for someone who is practical, dependable and hardworking, with a strong focus on delivering great service to our customers.\nYou’ll need:\nExperience in a yard, warehouse, builders’ merchant, distribution or similar environment is essential\n\nA live forklift licence\n\nA positive, hardworking and reliable approach\n\nThe ability to work effectively as part of a team\n\nGood attention to detail when picking and handling products\n\nA strong commitment to health and safety\n\nGood communication and customer service skills\n\nThe ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding role\n\nFlexibility to support
