We work with public- and private-sector organisations from strategy through execution, turning complex challenges into practical, measurable results.\nAs AI becomes central to competitiveness, productivity and service transformation, LBC is expanding its AI Center of Competence and integrating AI into our client offerings, ongoing projects, internal operations and product development.\n\nYour role\nBuild AI-enabled applications using generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, document intelligence and intelligent automation.\nDevelop assistants, copilots, semantic search, recommendation, classification, document-analysis and workflow-support solutions\nBuild RAG pipelines using enterprise documents and data, with traceable sources and appropriate access controls\nIntegrate models with web applications, APIs, databases, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ERP, CRM and client systems\nWrite clean, modular, tested and documented production code; participate in code reviews and collaborative engineering practices.\nImplement prompts, structured outputs, validation, guardrails, model routing and fallback mechanisms\nPrepare and transform structured and unstructured data for retrieval, evaluation and application development\nEvaluate accuracy, relevance, groundedness, hallucination, latency, cost, robustness and reliability\nSupport secure cloud, hybrid or client-managed deployment, including logging, tracing, monitoring and incident resolution\nApply privacy-by-design, security-by-design and responsible-AI principles throughout development\nContribute to internal LBC solutions, reusable components, technical standards, accelerators and AI-enabled products\nParticipate in client workshops, demonstrations, proposals, knowledge transfer and adoption support\nThe AI Engineer will design, develop, integrate and deploy AI solutions for LBC’s clients and for LBC’s own transformation into an AI-powered organisation. You will work in multidisciplinary teams with AI engineers, data scientists, software developers, architects, business analysts, consultants, designers and governance specialists. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can turn business requirements, models and data into reliable applications. You will contribute across the full lifecycle: discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.\n\nWhat we look for\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field\nMaster's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field is an advantage\nMinimum 2 years of experience programming in Python, with demonstrated knowledge of software engineering best practices, including clean code, modular architecture, and version control\nAt least 2 years of hands-on experience in AI engineering, with exposure to solution design and deployment\nPreferably deploying solutions on Azure infrastructure, including familiarity with Azure AI Services (Azure OpenAI, MS Foundry, Azure AI Search) and the broader Azure ecosystem\nExperience working with LLMs in application development, including prompt engineering and basic agentic workflows\nHands-on experience with RAG solution design and deployment, including vector databases and retrieval strategies\nFamiliarity with AI/LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and/or HuggingFace Transformers\nExperience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and containerization solutions (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)\nExperience with REST APIs, databases, Git, cloud environments, containerisation, testing, logging and debugging\nAwareness of prompt injection, data leakage, access control, privacy, evaluation and responsible-AI requirements\nBasic understanding of DevOps practices and cloud-native deployment patterns\nStrong problem-solving and ownership, ability to work with ambiguity in non-deterministic AI system\nGood communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams\nGood English.
