Please note that participation in an on-call rota is also a requirement of this role.\nWhat you'll be doing\nLloyds Banking Group is modernising through cloud technology, creating platforms that are secure, resilient and simpler for engineering teams to adopt and manage. \nWe’re looking for a DevOps-focused Infrastructure Specialist to join our Private Cloud Platform team, partnering with Middleware domain experts across technologies such as IBM DataPower, IBM MQ, and WebSphere/Liberty. \nYou’ll help design, build and improve the automated delivery capabilities used to deploy and manage middleware services. Working with experienced Middleware engineers, you’ll turn technical requirements and operational practices into reliable pipelines, reusable automation and self-service workflows for business-aligned teams. This includes supporting lifecycle activities such as provisioning, configuration, upgrades, patching and routine operational change. \nThis is a hands-on, engineering role suited to someone with core DevOps experience who wants to broaden their skills across Middleware and hybrid Private Cloud platforms while delivering tangible automation results. \nDay to day you’ll\nWork with middleware SMEs to turn technical requirements and operational practices into automated, reusable deployment and operational patterns.\nBuild and improve CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, scripts and self-service tooling that make middleware delivery consistent, repeatable and easier for teams to consume.\nAutomate middleware lifecycle activities, including provisioning, configuration, testing, upgrades, patching and operational validation.\nCollaborate with platform, product, application, security and supplier teams to deliver solutions, solve issues and continuously improve services.\nBuild secure, resilient and observable solutions using good testing, version control and documentation practices, while learning from experienced engineers across the team.\nWhy join us?\nWe’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good.
