As we continue our strong growth trajectory, we’re looking for talented, driven, and collaborative individuals to join us and help shape what’s next.\nRecognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, LBMX combines strong performance with a people-first culture. We believe in building meaningful careers, supporting work-life balance, and creating an environment where your contributions are valued and your growth is encouraged.\nAt LBMX, you’ll have the opportunity to grow, contribute meaningfully, and be part of a team building something exceptional.\nPosition Description:\nWe're looking for a Product Design Lead to own the quality and consistency of the experience across our product portfolio. As the sole dedicated designer, you'll set the standard for how LBMX products look, work, and feel, and build the practice that keeps them that way.\nLBMX Product Managers increasingly create their own wireframes and prototypes with AI tools. Your job is to make sure that speed doesn't come at the cost of coherence: you'll own the design system those wireframes must follow, run the user research that keeps our experience intuitive and grounded in how users actually work, and design the onboarding and in-product guidance that help customers succeed on their own. You'll be a creative partner to our Principal Product Managers - someone to bounce ideas off, ideate with, and design solutions alongside.\nYou'll be a senior individual contributor with high visibility, partnering with Principal Product Managers, Product Managers, and Engineering - influencing through craft, evidence, and credibility. AI fluency is core to this role. You'll use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, prototyping, and documentation, and you'll shape how the wider product team uses AI to design well.\nPositions Available: 1\nWhat You Will Do:\nOwn the end-to-end user experience across LBMX's product portfolio, ensuring it is coherent, usable, and consistent for buying groups, suppliers, and members/distributors. \nPlan, run, and synthesize ongoing user research - usability testing, journey mapping, and benchmarking against best-in-class B2B SaaS patterns, to ensure our solutions are intuitive and reflect how users actually work rather than how we think internally. \nDrive empathy for users across the product team, helping Principals, Product Managers, and Engineering see the product from the user's point of view. \nBuild and maintain a research repository so user insights are reusable across the product team, not lost in individual decks. \nOwn LBMX's design system: components, patterns, interaction standards, content guidelines, and accessibility rules, maintained in Figma and aligned with the coded component library in partnership with Engineering. \nMake the design system easy for non-designers to use well, including templates, guidance, and AI prompts that let Product Managers produce on-standard wireframes and prototypes. \nPartner with Product Managers on the wireframes and prototypes they create, offering guidance and feedback that keeps the experience consistent, accessible, and aligned with the design system. \nDesign the in-product onboarding experience - first-run flows, empty states, walkthroughs, tooltips, and contextual help - so new users can get started inside the product on their own.” \nChampion accessibility, obtain WCAG 2.1 AA conformance across products. \nPartner with Engineering during build to resolve design questions quickly and verify that what ships matches what was designed. \nGather post-launch usability feedback and recommend improvements alongside the adoption data owned by Product Managers. \nProactively identify UX problems across the portfolio, maintain a prioritized backlog of experience debt, and bring proposed solutions without waiting for a brief. \nSupport the platform modernization program by defining how legacy experiences should evolve, not just be ported. \nUse AI-assisted tools to accelerate research synthesis, prototyping, design exploration, and documentation, and apply judgment to the output. \nCoach Product Managers and other non-designers in design thinking, usability basics, and good AI-assisted design practice. \nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat You Will bring:\n7+ years of product design experience, including at least 3 years at a senior or lead level, with significant time in B2B SaaS or enterprise software. \nA portfolio showing end-to-end work on complex, data-heavy workflows, including the research behind the decisions and the measurable results. \nDemonstrated experience planning and running user research yourself, particularly usability testing, not only consuming it. \nStrong working knowledge of best-in-class B2B SaaS design patterns and conventions. \nExperience building or owning a design system and partnering with engineers to keep design and code aligned. \nExperience designing onboarding, in-product guidance, or self-service help experiences. \nExperience operating as the sole or most senior designer in a team, setting standards and influencing without formal authority. \nExpert proficiency in Figma, including components, variables, and prototyping. \nWorking knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to apply them. \nPractical, hands-on use of AI tools in design work, including research synthesis, prototyping, exploration, or content, with clear judgment about where they help and where they don't. \nClear, persuasive communicator, comfortable presenting rationale to executives and challenging product decisions with evidence. \nBasic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, component frameworks) considered an asset. \nExperience with supply chain, distribution, EDI, rebates, or buying-group products considered an asset. \nDegree in interaction design, HCI, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent experience. \nCompensation\nSalary Range: $120,000 - $140,000, based on experience and qualifications\nWhat You Can Expect at LBMX\nCompetitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package, including a health spending account and employee assistance program\nThree weeks’ vacation and five personal days to start, plus additional paid LBMX holidays throughout the year\nCompany matched GRSP contributions\nFlexible summer hours and a strong commitment to work-life balance\nEducation subsidies to support your professional growth\nMaternity, Parental, and Compassionate Care Leave top-up program\n$500 new hire home office allowance\nLBMX is committed to building an inclusive workplace. We encourage applications from qualified individuals of all backgrounds, and we are dedicated to providing accommodations throughout the recruitment and employment process. If you require accommodation at any stage, please let us know.","description_format":"text","description_chars":6890,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Home office"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Commerce","Marketplaces","B2B Commerce"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-16T22:14:01Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":58,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.778,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":22,"expected_fill_days":28,"reasons":["conf:3","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-11-05T05:54:30Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":99021,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/lbmx-product-design-lead-uiux","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/lbmx-product-design-lead-uiux.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-05T07:24:41Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":9444,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-06T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":2581031},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=2581031"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Flbmx-product-design-lead-uiux"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Flbmx-product-design-lead-uiux"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Flbmx-product-design-lead-uiux"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/lbmx-product-design-lead-uiux\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Flbmx-product-design-lead-uiux"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":2745105}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"lbmx.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":2745105},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
