Specific position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nExecutes numerous housekeeping and cleaning activities to ensure cleanliness of guest rooms, hallways, meeting facilities and public areas. Housekeeping activities may include: changing linens, bathroom maintenance, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, debris and trash removal, shampooing carpets, window and wall washing, dusting and woodwork maintenance.\nSigns in and signs out room keys according to established guidelines.\nMaintains housekeeping cart and ensures readiness for next shift.\nNotifies housekeeping supervisor of maintenance repairs and cleaning supply needs.\nNotifies supervisor, manager, security or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests, associates or the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.\nPerforms other duties as assigned. \nSUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives direction and supervision from the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor and Hotel Manager on a daily basis.\nPOSITION RELATIONSHIPS:\nInternal: Frequent contact with the front desk, engineering and banquet associates. \nExternal: Continual contact with guests and visitors. \nEDUCATION: A High School education or equivalent is required.\nEXPERIENCE: A minimum of six months in a housekeeping or in a customer focused environment is preferred.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT:\nWork Conditions: The majority of position responsibilities are performed in the Hotel and Convention Center with exposure to differentials in temperature.\nExposure to Hazards: May be exposed to situations where hazardous chemicals, spills, wet floors of guest behaviors may create undesirable conditions.\nPhysical Requirements: Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend or lift for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate housekeeping machinery for extended periods of time.\nBEHAVIORS: The vision, goals and objectives of Lake of the Torches Resort Casino requires the Hotel Housekeeper to perform in both a professional and personable manner. The manner in which the employee relates to fellow employees, customers and visitors is considered parallel in importance to technical knowledge and ability.
