The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment, with strong Excel skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance and other areas of the organization.\nKey responsibilities:\nTake ownership of the accounting and close process, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and reliability of financial information.\n\nManage and review month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all transactions, accruals and adjustments are properly recorded.\n\nPerform balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.\n\nAnalyze Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts, investigating significant or unusual variances.\n\nTreasury: Perform and review bank reconciliations, monitor cash movements and ensure appropriate payment controls.\n\nAccounts Payable: Review invoices, accruals and accounting entries, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and resolving payment discrepancies.\n\nAccounts Receivable: Monitor customer balances and invoicing processes, maintain accurate customer records and ensure consistency between CRM and ERP information.\n\nPrepare intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving differences between group entities.\n\nSupport the preparation and review of Spanish tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax and accounting requirements.\n\nEnsure accounting records are maintained in accordance with Spanish GAAP and internal accounting policies.\n\nSupport external audits, preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditors' requests.\n\nSupport the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and annual accounts in accordance with Spanish GAAP.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes and internal controls.\n\nCollaborate with other Finance areas and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.\n\nRequired skills:\nMinimum 6 years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance or similar roles.\n\nA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.\n\nA master in audit would be an advantage\n\nPrevious experience of 1-2 years in a Big 4 audit firm is highly valued but not mandatory.\n\nStrong knowledge of general accounting principles and Spanish GAAP.\n\nSolid understanding of financial statements, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.\n\nGood knowledge of Spanish tax requirements.\n\nProven experience in month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, accruals and accounting reviews.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and investigate accounting discrepancies.\n\nAdvanced Excel skills are essential.\n\nExperience working with ERP systems and a high level of digital literacy.
