You will bring deep expertise in the Databricks platform, cloud infrastructure, security, governance, and infrastructure-as-code to help clients establish secure, scalable, governed, and production-ready Lakehouse environments.\nThis role goes beyond designing individual data pipelines or workloads. You will own the Databricks platform architecture and foundation, defining how Databricks is deployed, governed, secured, automated, and operated across enterprise environments. You will serve as a senior technical advisor to clients and engineering teams, establishing platform standards and architectural patterns that enable data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI workloads at scale.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n10+ years of experience in data, cloud, platform engineering, or architecture, including\n\nsignificant experience designing and delivering enterprise data platforms.\nDeep hands-on expertise architecting and implementing Databricks platforms in\n\nproduction environments.\nExpert-level knowledge of Unity Catalog, including metastore design, catalog/schema\n\nstrategy, permissions, RBAC/ABAC, row-level security, column masking, lineage,\nauditing, and governance patterns.\nStrong hands-on experience implementing Databricks infrastructure using Terraform,\n\nincluding reusable modules and automated environment provisioning.\nDeep understanding of Databricks account and workspace architecture, compute,\n\nnetworking, identity, storage, security, and governance.\nStrong knowledge of Delta Lake, Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines, Databricks\n\nWorkflows, Databricks SQL, and batch/streaming architecture.\nExperience designing CI/CD and DevOps practices for Databricks, including Git-\n\nbased development, Databricks Asset Bundles, Terraform, automated testing, and\nenvironment promotion.\nStrong understanding of Azure and the cloud-native networking, identity, security, and storage services required to operate Databricks securely.\n\nExperience designing platforms supporting multiple workload types, including data\n\nengineering, BI/analytics, data science, machine learning, and AI/GenAI.\nAbility to translate enterprise security, governance, compliance, and operational\n\nrequirements into practical Databricks architecture and implementation patterns.\nProven ability to lead complex platform implementations and provide technical direction\n\nacross multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nExceptional communication skills with the ability to explain architecture decisions and\n\ntrade-offs to both deeply technical teams and executive stakeholders.\n\nNice To Have\nDatabricks professional-level certifications or equivalent demonstrated platform\n\nexpertise.\nExperience designing multi-workspace, multi-environment, and multi-business-unit\n\nDatabricks architectures.\nExperience with Databricks platform migrations, cloud modernization, or enterprise\n\nLakehouse adoption programs.\nExperience establishing FinOps, observability, disaster recovery, business continuity,\n\nand platform operating models for Databricks.\nExperience creating enterprise reference architectures, reusable Terraform modules,\n\nplatform accelerators, and architectural standards\nSoft Skills\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of projects\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to articulate, diagram and document complex engineering concepts.\n\nWhy you will love GTS:\nJoin a powerful tech workforce and help us change the world through technology\n\nProfessional development opportunities with international customers\n\nCollaborative work environment\n\nCareer path and mentorship programs that will lead to new levels.\n\nJoin GTS and contribute to shaping the data landscape within a dynamic and growing organization.
