Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:\nPosition Title: Senior DevOps Engineer.\nLocation: Medellin, Colombia\nWhat you will be doing:\nContinuous Integration and Delivery: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate building, testing, provisioning, and deploying Java applications in a hybrid-cloud environment.\nInfrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools such as Terraform and Ansible to deploy and manage infrastructure, ensuring maintainability, observability, and security.\nSite Reliability: Act as a site reliability engineer to ensure systems are stable, available, and performant. This includes implementing site reliability principles such as redundancy, monitoring, and performance tuning.\nCollaboration and Support: Work closely with both remote and internal software development teams to define infrastructure needs and deploy code efficiently.\nSecurity and Compliance: Assist in implementing security practices within CI/CD pipelines, even though deep expertise in security is not mandatory.\nLearning and Adaptability: Adapt to new tools and technologies that may enhance deployment and management processes, such as minimal use of containerization technologies and potential scaling solutions.\nRequirements & Qualifications:\nProfessional Experience: Minimum of 4 years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability, with a proven track record in a senior role.\nTechnical Proficiency:\nExtensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.\nExperience in configuring and managing Linux environments and cloud DevOps platforms like Azure DevOps.\nKnowledge of automated testing frameworks is beneficial, although not a requirement for mastery of specific tools like Selenium or JUnit.\nFamiliarity with scripting languages for automation tasks, with a preference for Python, Bash, and Groovy.\nEducational Background:\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong collaboration and communication skills to effectively interact with multiple teams.\nProblem-solving skills and the ability to manage stress within fast-paced environments.\nIndependent work ethic and proactive management of tasks and responsibilities.\nOptional But Valued\nContainerization Knowledge: Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for testing and minimal deployment tasks.
