We're big on keeping it real and we'll always share the \"why,\" because you deserve it.\nAbout the Role:\nWe are seeking a motivated and service-driven Assistant Store Manager to join our boutique, powered by the Leap Platform, in West Village. This opportunity is ideal for an emerging retail leader who is passionate about developing teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving business results.\nAs the Store Manager's right hand, you will play a key role in leading the daily success of the boutique. You will partner closely with the Store Manager to execute business priorities, develop a high-performing team, and deliver an elevated in-store experience. When the Store Manager is not present, you will confidently lead the business, ensuring sales goals are achieved, operational standards are maintained, and the team is set up for success.\nHourly Pay Range: $27/hr - $30/hr\nCompensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, competencies, and qualifications.\nWhat You'll Do\nDrive Business Performance\nPartner with the Store Manager to achieve sales goals, profitability, and key business objectives.\nMonitor daily business performance, identify opportunities, and help execute strategies that maximize results.\nLead by example on the sales floor, inspiring strong selling behaviors and exceptional customer engagement.\nDeliver an Exceptional Customer Experience\nFoster a welcoming, personalized shopping experience that builds customer loyalty and strengthens brand affinity.\nCoach the team to deliver thoughtful service, product expertise, and meaningful customer interactions.\nSupport customer outreach and local initiatives that encourage repeat business and long-term relationships.\nDevelop & Inspire the Team\nRecruit, onboard, coach, and develop team members through ongoing feedback, recognition, and hands-on leadership.\nHelp build an engaged, accountable, and collaborative team culture aligned with brand values.\nPartner with the Store Manager to support performance management, succession planning, and talent development.\nBuild Brand Presence\nRepresent the brand within the local community by supporting partnerships, events, and in-store activations.\nCollaborate with neighboring Leap-powered stores and assist with market initiatives, including new store openings and business needs as required.\nLead Operational Excellence\nOversee daily store execution, including visual merchandising, inventory management, scheduling, shipment processing, opening and closing procedures, and operational compliance.\nServe as Manager on Duty when needed, ensuring the boutique operates efficiently while delivering an exceptional customer experience.\nMaintain a customer-ready environment that reflects the brand's standards of excellence.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nBusiness Growth & Sales Performance: Supports the achievement of sales goals and key performance metrics through strong commercial execution and floor leadership.\nCustomer Experience & Brand Loyalty: Delivers exceptional customer experiences that strengthen loyalty, satisfaction, and repeat business.\nTeam Engagement & Development: Develops an engaged, high-performing team through coaching, accountability, recognition, and ongoing development.\nOperational Excellence: Maintains exceptional execution across merchandising, inventory accuracy, scheduling, operational processes, and brand standards.\nLeadership Impact: Confidently leads the business in the Store Manager's absence while fostering a positive, high-performing store culture.\nPosition Requirements\n2-4 years of retail leadership experience in boutique, premium, specialty, or customer-focused retail environments.\nDemonstrated ability to drive sales, develop high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to interpret performance metrics and execute strategies that improve results.\nProven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop others through hands-on floor leadership.\nExperience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and performance development.\nOversees daily sales floor standards, including organization, replenishment, cleanliness, and overall store presentation.\nExperience with Shopify, Endear CRM, Slack, and Google Workspace preferred.\nFlexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel as needed.\nAbility to actively lead on the sales floor, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nAbout Leap:\nThe Leap platform powers insight-driven retail experiences for modern brands, enabling scalable growth through technology, operational expertise, and retail excellence.
