A better future?\nWe're Lear For You.\nMaintenance Technician- Team Leader\nOrion Plant - Auburn Hills, MI\nAs a member of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Leader will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production equipment. This position diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems, executes preventive maintenance, and supports production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery. In addition, this role provides leadership and coordination for maintenance activities, supporting team performance, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nThe Role:\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\n Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing systems\nRead and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints\nPerform preventative maintenance per schedules and standards\nSupport production teams\nSupport startup, commissioning, and validation of new or modified equipment\nFollow all safety, OSHA, and plant procedures, including lockout/tagout.\nTeam Leader Responsibilities:\nCoordinate and prioritize work assignments to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities\nSupport training, mentoring, and skill development of team members\nEnsure adherence to safety standards, policies, and procedures across the team\nPartner with production leadership to align maintenance support with operational needs\nMonitor work quality and ensure completion meets plant and company standards\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including downtime reduction and equipment reliability\nAssist in planning and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs\nSupport root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and support reporting requirements\nPhysical Requirements:\nStanding for long periods of time, climbing stairs or ladders, bending/crouching.\nThe ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.\nWorking at heights when needed\nYour Qualifications:\n5 Years experience in the manufacturing maintenance field\nExperience in automotive production and high-volume manufacturing\nStrong understanding of electrical/ mechanical/ computer systems work\nProficiency with industrial automation language\nExperience using diagnostic tools\nHigh school diploma or GED\nTechnical or Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Industrial maintenance, Electronics or related field.\nCertifications (Lockout tagout)\nLicenses (forklift)\nJourneymen’s Card\nDemonstrated history of leading teams\nBonus If You Have:\nExperience with robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa)\nExperience with HMI systems and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.)\nKnowledge of safety standards (machine safety, guarding, interlocks)\nLean / TPM experience\nBenefits\nDental insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nVision insurance\nTuition Reimbursement\nPaid time off\nCompensation Data\nOvertime opportunities available\nPay: $36/hr\n1st Shift/Mid Shift until Q1 of 2027, then the role will transition to second shift based on business needs.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\n\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
