A better future?\nJob Description\nMaintenance Technician\nOrion Plant - Auburn Hills, MI\n As a member of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production equipment. This position diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems, executes preventive maintenance, and supports production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery.\nThe Role:\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing systems\nRead and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints\nPerform preventative maintenance per schedules and standards\nSupport production teams\nSupport startup, commissioning, and validation of new or modified equipment\nFollow all safety, OSHA, and plant procedures, including lockout/tagout.\nDismantle mechanical devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.\nMaintain, install, and repair electrical equipment.\nTroubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose/repair malfunctions\nMake approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs\nRepair or replace defective parts\nLubricate and clean parts\nStart devices to test their performance.\nSet up and operate mill, lathe, drill press, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts\nInstall new machinery and equipment as directed\nFabricate approved fixturing for production use\nPhysical Requirements:\nStanding for long periods of time, climbing stairs or ladders, bending/crouching.\nThe ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.\nWorking at heights when needed\nYour Qualifications:\n3+ Years experience in the manufacturing maintenance field\nExperience in Electrical Systems (480V, 120V, 24V)\nExperience in Mechanical Systems\nExperience in Pneumatic/Hydraulic Systems \nProblem Solving\nAbility to work independent and a part of a team\nExperience in automotive production and high-volume manufacturing\nStrong understanding of electrical/ mechanical/ computer systems work\nProficiency with Proficiency with Rockwell PLC Logic\nExperience using diagnostic tools\nCertifications (Lockout tagout)\nLicenses (forklift)\nBonus If You Have:\nTechnical or Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Industrial maintenance, Electronics or related field.\nExperience with Vision Systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.)\nExperience with Robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa)\nExperience with HMI systems and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.)\nKnowledge of safety standards (machine safety, guarding, interlocks)\nLean / TPM experience\nJourneymen’s Card\nEducation Requirements\nGED or High School Diploma\nBenefits\nDental insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nVision insurance\nTuition Reimbursement\nPaid time off\nCompensation Data\nOvertime opportunities available\nPay: $35/hr\n1st Shift Role\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\n\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
