A better future?\nJob Description\nThe primary role of the Materials Clerk is to assist in shipping/receiving functions of the Materials Department.\nThe Materials Clerk will be responsible for identifying, labeling, moving and staging storage containers, raw materials, as well as finished goods to aid in the manufacturing effort of the Lear Hebron plant.\nResponsibilities\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\nLoad and unload trailers.\nUtilize handheld computer to create product labels.\nStore containers, both full and empty in designated areas.\nVerify scrap counts against reports and dispose of scrap material.\nSupport packing operation using a fork lift (removing full containers and replacing with empty containers).\nSupport production line by delivering boxes of components on cycle-delivery schedule.\nBasic housekeeping tasks as assigned by supervisor.\nAssist in physical inventory process.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMicrosoft Windows\nSatisfactory attendance record.\nExhibits good teamwork, cooperates consistently w/ co-workers and supervisors.\nDemonstrates good verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrates ability to complete forms and document activities completely and in a timely manner.\nDemonstrates ability to manage storage space in an orderly fashion.\nDemonstrates able to operate basic office equipment (computer, scanner, fax machine).\nExcellent Safety Record\nJob Requirements\nAbility to stand and/or walk long periods of time.\nRepeated reaching, bending and twisting.\nRepeated lifting of up to 50lbs throughout a scheduled shift.\nRepeated mounting and demounting of a fork lift.\nRegular overtime as scheduled.\nReading and distinguishing complex numbers repeatedly.\nHandling of pallets, stretch wrap, cardboard, foam products and product labels.\nRecharging batteries for fork lift operation.\nEducation Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nValid Driver’s License\nBonus If You Have\nLight to medium manufacturing experience\nPrevious Stand-up Forklift Operator\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
