A better future?\nJob Description\nAs part of the EU & Africa JIT and Structures AME team, the Senior AME Engineer is tasked with supporting the execution of multiple regional projects to defined standards in accordance with Lear’s AME Roadmap.\nThe Senior AME Engineer may work on a variety of projects tasked with implementing automated solutions into Lear JIT, Trim or Structures facilities. The Senior AME provides SME knowledge within a particular AME domain.\nReporting to the Senior AME Manager, this position plays a leading role within the AME team tasked with overseeing the Lear’s transition to automated solutions within EU&AF plants. Additional tasks performed by the Senior AME Engineer include defining the timing and execution plan into any given facility, flagging any risks or budget deviations to senior management, devising solutions to ensure minimal downtime or operational disruption during execution.\nThe AME Senior Engineer plays a key role in the assessment of supplier capabilities through the tender and equipment supply chain process, creating work instructions and ensuring project implementation is conducted to Lear standards and delivered in accordance with project timing milestones.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with Central AME, Plant Operations, EHS, Purchasing, Commercial, and Program Management teams to deliver AME projects.\nDevelop and validate strong business cases, ensuring a clear technical, operational, and financial justification for each project.\nSupport Lear’s RFQ process through technical expertise and cross-functional coordination.\nCoach plant and regional teams, driving knowledge transfer and supporting sustainable serial operations.\nEnsure deployment and adherence to Lear AME standards, methodologies, and best practices.\nParticipate in project feasibility assessments, execution strategy discussions, implementation planning, cost reviews, and timeline management.\nStay at the forefront of technological advancements and promote innovative solutions across the organization.\nChampion a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations, local policies, and company procedures.\nEducation Requirements\nUniversity Degree ascertained in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or comparable discipline\nExperience Requirements\n5+ years’ work experience in JIT, Trim or Structures facilities would be a plus.\nknowledge in at least one of the following fields : welding, maintenance, robotics, automation, EOL systems, Digital Twin\nExperience in supporting execution of multiple advanced manufacturing projects into operational environment\nStrong analytical skills / problem solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail\nDemonstrated experience of presenting to regional leaders \nExpert level of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.\nWillingness and flexibility to travel within the role.\nEnsures a safe working environment, follow, support, and maintain working practices, comply with all relevant HSE legislation and local policies and procedures.\nLanguages\nFluency in English language both written and verbal\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
