A better future?\nJob Description\nAs a member of the Traverse City accounting team, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for supporting the Plant Controller with the consolidation of financial metrics, asset management, and data analysis to ensure accurate and timely reporting of key financial information to management.\nResponsibilities\nConsolidation of divisional/business unit financials\nResponsible for financial reporting including analyzing key information for internal and external users\nAssist and monitor in the monthly close, forecast, budget, long-range planning processes\nAnalyze and review monthly financial data to ensure the close and forecast process was completed properly\nReview historical monthly income statements and balance sheets to accurately forecast future balances\nAnalyze financial data to assist in the preparation of financial deliverables to key members of leadership\nMonitor and support CAPEX and tooling projects to maintain alignment with approved budgets and project objectives\nPartner with the Lear Traverse City team and other key stakeholders to complete an efficient and seamless month-end close process\nImplement and maintain proper internal controls and procedures\nResearch and resolve accounting issues with financial and operating departments\nDevelop strong relationships with other departments and divisions to effectively complete tasks\nCollaborate closely with cross-function teams, including Maintenance, Sales, Tooling, Production and Engineering to support operational and financial objectives\nYour Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related fields\n3-5 years of accounting or finance experience \nProficient understanding of Microsoft products primarily Excel, Word, and Power Point\nSelf-motivated individual with a high level of organization and time management when dealing with multiple competing priorities\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.\nExperience utilizing ERP systems, such as SAP, QAD, or similar platforms to support business and financial processes.\nBonus If You Have\nExperience with HFM / Hyperion Planning / SmartView\nExperience in the Automotive Industry\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
