A better future?\nJob Description\nReporting directly to the Financial Controller, our future Assistant Financial Controller will have as a main mission to support the plant’s financial operations by ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and reliable budgeting and forecasting, while overseeing key financial processes.\nResponsibilities\nWork as an integral part of the Plant Finance and Management team providing support and control to the Redditch plant.\nAssist the Financial Controller in all aspects of corporate and internal reporting to ensure adherence to timetables, financial integrity and completeness.\nAssist in budget and short-term forecast preparation, profit and loss, cashflow and balance sheet.\nManagement of 3 direct reports.\nManagement of key KPIs including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging.\nFull responsibility for Free Cash Flow forecasting, monitoring and reporting.\nPursuing Continuous Improvements to financial controls and other operational processes within the business.\nJudgmental Reserves Schedules and Accrued Liabilities reporting.\nSOX Testing Reviews and presentation to the Financial Controller.\nPreliminary Balance Sheet Reconciliation Reviews.\nWarranty exposure calculation and provision.\nProduct Profitability Analysis and Reviews.\nManagement and completion of month-end processes including variance analysis.\nReporting plant performance (actual, budgets, forecasts, variance walks) through Hyperion.\nWorking closely with external auditors for year end and interim audit work.\nHeadcount review and sign off\nTo review, maintain and implement internal controls including quarterly SOX testing.\nDevelopment of direct report heads to achieve personal and professional goals, also supporting the longer-term succession plan.\nSupporting the Financial Controller in management of two stock-takes annually.\nSkills\nEducation Requirements\nFinance / Business Degree\nQualified Accountant\nExperience Requirements\nExcellent I.T skills especially Excel\nStrong communication skills.\nHigh attention to detail.\nBPCS experience\nGood working knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS400) and AS400Query\nAutomotive experience\nStrong attention to detail.\nMature and pro-active approach with the commitment to exceeding internal customer requirements.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple conflicting deadlines.\nHighly developed planning and organizational skills.\nFlexible problem-solving approach.\nTeam player.\nSelf-motivated.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
