We are looking for an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of next-generation automotive interior and seating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 3D designs and assemblies using CATIA V5/V6
  • Develop detailed 2D drawings and technical documentation
  • Design and develop automotive interior and seating components
  • Perform packaging studies, feasibility assessments, and concept evaluations
  • Conduct DMU analyses and engineering reviews
  • Ensure designs meet customer, legal, and ergonomic requirements
  • Support the complete product development process from concept through production launch
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers, Project Engineers, customers, and manufacturing teams
  • Manage engineering data and releases within PLM systems
  • Support design validation, prototype builds, and engineering change activities

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Development, or a related technical discipline

Experience Requirements

  • Several years of experience in automotive design engineering
  • Advanced CATIA V5/V6 design experience
  • Strong background in automotive trim or seating systems
  • Experience designing plastic injection-moulded components and assemblies
  • Understanding of automotive product development processes from RFQ through SOP
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into robust design solutions
  • Experience working within OEM or Tier 1 automotive environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
