A better future?\nJob Description\nAs a Commodity Buyer - Plastics, you drive sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and cost optimization across the EMEA LEAR Seating JIT business. You play a key role within the purchasing organization, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable value, mitigate supply risks, and support operational excellence.\nResponsibilities\nLead cost reduction initiatives and deliver annual savings targets across plastics commodities.\nDefine and execute the European sourcing strategy aligned with business objectives and market conditions.\nManage sourcing and resourcing projects, including supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and negotiations.\nBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve performance, quality, delivery, and competitiveness.\nCoordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and manage their impact on assigned commodities.\nAnalyze market trends, raw material movements, and supply risks to support strategic purchasing decisions.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Supplier Quality teams to achieve business goals.\nSupport reporting activities and contribute to commodity leadership initiatives and process improvements.\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.\nFluent English & Polish skills.\nExperience in the automotive industry with exposure to direct materials procurement.\nExperience sourcing plastics, polymers, resins, or related commodities.\nProven track record of supplier negotiations, sourcing projects, and cost reduction achievements.\nBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nWe offer\nPrivate medical care.\nAccess to group life insurance.\nMultisport card, co-financed by the company.\nSubsidized meals.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
