A better future?\nJob Description\nCONTROLS & AUTOMATION ENGINEER II\nWENTZVILLE, MO - PLANT\nAs a member of the Engineering team, the Engineer will be responsible for all plant equipment controls engineering & improvement functions and overall plant operational support.\nThe Role:\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\nModifies programming for PLCs (typically Allen Bradley), HMIs, robots, vision inspection cameras, electric torque tools and plant automation as needed - often with and while directing Maintenance team.\nTroubleshoots problems with processes and hardware\nCoordinates with others in order to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions\nProvides technical assistance as needed\nResponsible for installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software\nAnalyze plant processes, design, and implement improvements\nMaintain quality and safety standards - Follows ISO14001 and TS16949 procedures\nDesigns and/or specifies work fixtures and modifies as required by production\nResearch and purchases tools and equipment as required\nManages projects including installation and modifications of tools and equipment by contractors and internal Maintenance team\nAnalyzes ergonomic concerns and implements solutions\nParticipates in continuous improvement activities\nInstructs maintenance on modifications or repairs to production equipment\nSupervises Skilled Trades for projects and to cover Supervisor absences\nEnsures compliance with the following legislation: OHSA, Human Rights, Employment Standards, and Labor Relations\nWorks safely, reporting hazards and unsafe conditions, and takes all reasonable measures to protect themselves and co-workers\nUses and or wears personal protective equipment that the company requires to be used or worn\nPerforms any other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed\nAbility to work extended hours, weekends, on-call, and temporary work another shift if needed to support production, shutdowns, and launch activities.\nQualifications\nA Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.\nResponsibilities typically include:\nManaging projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision\nCoaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals\nProblems faced are difficult and sometimes complex\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
