A better future?\nJob Description\nAs a member of the Automation team, the Automation Engineer will be responsible for Leading, Supporting, Implementing, and Managing Automation projections while driving innovation in advancements.\nThe candidate will use their vast knowledge, experience, and resourcefulness to lead and implement automation cells and drive standards across North America. The candidate must be able to develop the concept, aid in the mechanical- Electrical design, install, train the receiving plant, and provide ongoing support for the robot cell. The candidate must also possess the skill to project lead other Integrators as a subject matter expert.\nResponsibilities\nA Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.\nResponsibilities typically include:\nManaging large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager\nCoaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals\nProblems faced are difficult and often complex\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor’s in electrical or software engineering\n5+ years’ experience in a similar role\nExperience Requirements\nExpert in (RS logix 500, RS logix 5000, Factory Talk HMI, Baluff I/O link, programming).\nFanuc Programming or basic understanding with Robotics\nUnderstand and communicate applicable safety standards: general industry (OSHA 1910), machine guarding, robot safety (ANSI/RIA 15.06), automated vehicles, conveyor safety\nSupporting member of Risk Assessments on all automated equipment\nAuto CAD Experience\nIgnition or other SCADA software\nAbility to read electrical drawings\nCoordinate and manage controls systems\nCommunication with external manufacturing system /MES\nAtlas Copco Tools Talk programming and interface with torque tools\nExperience with controls and programming servo driven equipment\nWillingness to travel in North America - time traveling can be up to 50%.\nBasic experience with Vision systems to guide robot - offsets\nDevelop & Completion of Automation risk assessments\nKnowledgeable in MS-Office\nCertifications / Licenses\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
