A better future?\nCORPORATE APQP SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER\nSOUTHFIELD, MI - WORLD HEADQUARTERS - IN-PERSON\nJob Description\nAs a member of the Quality team, the Corporate APQP Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for program interface between the Customer and Lear on pre-production activities, including managing Customer APQP Launch activities to assure timely completion. The APQP SQE will be responsible to understand customer requirements, provide Program Launch support cross-functionally, interface with Engineering to verify compliance to LPMP milestones, and ensure plant APQP/Quality is working to achieve milestones.\nResponsibilities\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\nParticipates in all product development and launch activities (including program management system-specific actions) which includes the identification of customer expectations, manufacturing, and ongoing production test support.\nSupport launching facilities as required in all aspects of Plant and Program readiness before/during pre-production build events.\nServes as interface for the Quality organization between Engineering, Program, and Plant teams.\nMonitor LearPro/Lear Project Management Process (LPMP) and drive/enforce adherence to LPMP deliverable standards.\nLead Appearance Manual development, craftsmanship audits and communicate any supplier quality issue through pre-production build events. Ensure design/manufacturing issues are properly documented, communicated at manufacturing feasible levels, and read across to all applicable facilities.\nSupport and/or interface with Lear internal quality teams supporting the business unit customers in different regions globally.\nDocument, Monitor and Verify the effective implementation and Read Across of Launch, Quality, Warranty, and Customer Lessons Learned across all applicable facilities.\nPerform Post-Launch Lessons Learned Analysis and lead, verify effective read across of those items across all future launches.\nDevelop, Manage and Execute a Roadmap to Customer Satisfaction across all applicable facilities.\nHelp train and develop plant QE/APQP engineers in customer APQP requirements, this will include the managing of PPAP and IMDS timing and escalation where required\nExperience Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or comparable field from an accredited institution\nMinimum of four (4) years workingexperience in Quality Applications such as Plant Quality, AIAG, APQP, PPAP Launch experience, etc.\nCompetent in quality tools, and process/production control methods such as:Expert in Customer APQP Process\nExcellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.\nStrong analytical and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.\nCompetent in quality tools, and process/production control methods such as:Control Plans\nFMEA\nPPAP\nProblem-Solving and analytical skills using 8D methodology\n\nUnderstanding Quality Systems, internal and external\nProactive risk analysis throughout the launch\nGood time management and detailed tracking of quality deliverables\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, and programs in an organized manner\nRobust Problem-solving skills\nAble to travel up to 20% of the time as needed\nPreferred Requirements\nGeneral Motors APQP experience: GM Supply Power, CGxx/1927xx requirements\nJIT/Seating Experience\nPrior experience launching a new program\nCertifications in APQP or PPAP\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
