Further information about Lear is available at lear.com or on Twitter @LearCorporation.\nPosition overview:\nThe Engineering Manager leads and oversees all technical and manufacturing engineering activities across production sites to ensure operational excellence, process optimization, and product feasibility. This role provides strategic direction, drives continuous improvement, and ensures alignment between production, technical teams, and leadership to achieve cost, quality, and safety objectives.\nAdditional duties will include (but may not be limited to):\nSupervise technical manufacturing activities across production sites.\n\nAssess the technical feasibility of a product or product range.\n\nEnsure the development of technical know-how, including modernization of processes or production tools, added value, and competitiveness.\n\nPropose improvements and adaptations to one or more production sites in order to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.\n\nLead and coordinate technical manufacturing, logistics, and production management activities at the production sites, in collaboration with the Production Director or Production Manager.\n\nHold daily meetings with production managers and engineers, planning teams, and industrial maintenance teams to identify issues and confirm achievement of objectives.\n\nCoordinate actions between production management teams and technical departments.\n\nEvaluate the company’s daily operational needs and adjust production capacity accordingly.\n\nEstablish and communicate cost estimates and quotations for new products or technical modifications.\n\nProvide the necessary means, leadership, and direction to uphold the site’s EH&S policy.\n\nEnsure that all workplace safety procedures are applied.\n\nActively collaborate with all relevant functions to achieve, uphold, and continuously improve compliance with key industry certifications, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.\n\nTo be a success in this role you must have:\nExcellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to plan, prioritize, and monitor project activities effectively.\n\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, ideally with exposure to trim or textile production.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead and collaborate within cross-functional teams and navigate matrix-style organizational structures.\n\nProven track record in managing and developing teams, with strong leadership and people-management capabilities.\n\nLanguage Skills:\nGood communication skills in both French and English\nWhy Lear\nWe offer a fantastic place to work that embraces diversity, opportunities for growth and the chance to be part of a company that puts its people first.\nWork Location :\nMenzel Bourguiba, Tunisia Lear Corporation Trim Plant\nLear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.\nApplicants must submit their resumes for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
