At Lear, your contributions matter, and your growth is part of our success.\nJob Description\nAs a Materials Coach, you will play a key role in supporting daily material operations and helping drive efficient production within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with production teams, leadership, and support functions to ensure material flow, inventory accuracy, team development, and operational excellence.\nThe ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to support self-directed work teams while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in directing and coordinating daily activities within the Materials Department.\n\nSupport team members by providing guidance on daily assignments, work schedules, and training requirements.\n\nAssist in planning work schedules, assignments, and production activities to meet operational goals.\n\nUtilize SAP, Cassioli scanners, and related systems to support material tracking and inventory accuracy.\n\nMonitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities to ensure uninterrupted production.\n\nPartner with Planning, Engineering, Launch, and Production teams to ensure accurate material setup and availability.\n\nMonitor production activities and ensure adherence to established processes and standards.\n\nReview production schedules, reports, and operational data to support material and production requirements.\n\nCoordinate with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and support continuous production flow.\n\nMaintain receiving records, logs, and documentation to support audit requirements.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and performance.\n\nDevelop and maintain training matrices for team members.\n\nDrive inventory accuracy through adherence to established processes and controls.\n\nSupport quality management system requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\n\nEducation Requirements\nHigh school diploma or GED required.Associate degree preferred.\nExperience Requirements\n1 to 2 years of supervisory experience.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nKnowledge of production processes, inventory control, and material flow within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong leadership and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience using SAP or similar ERP systems.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nExperience with inventory management, material planning, and logistics processes.\nKnowledge of automotive quality standards and management systems, including IATF 16949, VDA, and ISO standards.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
