A better future?\nWe're Lear For You.\nPOSITION: Mold Set Tech: 2nd ShiftSTART RATE: $22.39\nJob Description\nMold Set Tech Essential Functions:\nTo ensure that dies are changed efficiently per the production schedule, and production material is filled for start up\nEfficiently remove existing molds and dies from presses\nInstall next scheduled mold or die and ensure minimal downtime\nSet up thermolators\nMake hoses as required for molds\nEnsure molds are set safely and correctly, utilizing the proper equipment set up per the process book (nozzle tip, knockouts, watered correctly, etc.)\nFill and maintain materials for both insert and injection presses as needed for mold change\nMaintain and clean hoppers and grinders as necessary for “complete” mold changes\nMay be requested to function as a material handler per the request of the Supervisor\nMay be requested to complete additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor\nJob Requirements\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nExerting up to fifty-six (56) pounds of force frequently\nOperate a fork truck and overhead crane\nSupport all Lear environmental, quality, health and safety procedures and rules.\nEnsure that proper procedures are followed, and the working environment is healthy and safe\nWork as a team with fellow employees and train new employees in the classification\nMaintains the work area in accordance with 5S standards.\nComplete additional tasks assigned by Shift Supervisor / Department Manager\nMold Set Tech Evaluations:\nMold Set Tech evaluation will be made on a weekly basis.\nTraining will follow the training plan. \nThere is a 60-day qualification period.\nWorking Conditions:\nDegree of Physical Demands (Strength) usually associated with this classification:\nLifting packages up to 56 pounds. \nWalking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and occasional crouching.\nEnvironmental conditions (Physical Surroundings) usually associated with this classification:\nThe associate is subject to environmental conditions common to a plant environment, including cramped conditions between presses and enclosures.\nSome exposure to loud noise and oil.\nEnvironmental conditions (Hazards) usually associated with this classified:\nExposure to Hi-Lo traffic, battery charger, possible cuts from material tail and banding, occasional exposure to wet or slippery dock plates.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
