A better future?\nJob Description\nPLANT FINANCIAL ANALYST - ACCOUNTS PAYABLE\nLocation: Wentzville, MO\nThe Role:\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\nUtilizing Microsoft Excel to track and analyze purchase orders and invoices for suppliers.\nTracking and analyzing invoices for leased equipment.\nProcessing invoices and credit/debit memos as necessary.\nResponding to inquiries from suppliers regarding payment status.\nResolving outstanding payment/invoicing issues in a timely manner.\nCommunicating with other departments to effectively maintain A/P.\nConfirming A/P and A/R balances with intercompany entities at month-end close.\nMonitoring ledger transactions to ensure that all A/P invoicing has been posted for month-end close.\nUpdating the Assistant Controller of month-end results and potential adjustments.\nPreparing monthly journal entries to the general ledgers for accruals, adjustments, etc.\nEnsuring monthly account reconciliations and analyses are completed in a timely manner.\nResearching and resolving accounting issues with financial and operations departments.\nEnsuring compliance with quarterly SOX audit requirements.\nProviding recommendations to the Assistant Controller pertaining to the continuous improvement of accounting controls and other financial and administrative practices and procedures.\nQualifications\nYour Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in a related field or 1-2 years of experience in an accounting-related role/field.\nModerate skill level in Microsoft Excel.\nKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) as they apply to financial reporting.\nKnowledge of SOX requirements as needed to ensure compliance.\nAbility to analyze and interpret financial and accounting records as needed to make reporting decisions.\nAbility to prepare accurate and complete financial reports.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
