A better future?\nJob Description\nPRODUCTION SUPERVISOR\nGRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS - GRAND PRAIRIE PLANT\nAs a member of the Operations team, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervision of manufacturing personnel and operation, assuring that quality, safety, productivity, schedule, and delivery goals are met daily.\nThe Role:\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\nResponsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing environment\nThis position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions\nEnsure effective employee relations are maintained on the shop floor\nProvide employee coaching and development\nResolve employee issues through problem resolution\nBalance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas\nWork to continuously improve in all areas of the production line\nManage departmental performance measures, including visual control and provides regular progress reports to manager\nProvide leadership, participate in LEAN events, perform accident investigations, maintain proper inventory levels, and manage department priorities\nQualifications:\nAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of prior supervisory experience leading a team in a production environment\nStrong ability to use independent judgment in determining methods and processes\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, work methods, and production flow\nDrive 5S, Lean, and improvement activities to maintain effectiveness, organization, and cleanliness of production floor\nAbility to use database and MS Office products required\nConduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department\nPerform other duties as required by plant management\nStrong skills in oral and written communication\nComply with and lead improvements to Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) rules and procedures\nQualifications\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3-5 years of production supervision experience\nPrior manufacturing supervision experience in a progressive environment\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
