A better future?\nJob Description\nAs part of the Finance team, you support the achievement of financial targets through accurate reporting, cost control, project accounting, and compliance activities. You work closely with Finance and Engineering leadership to provide financial insights, maintain strong controls, and ensure the integrity of financial and operational reporting.\nResponsibilities\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings, including P&L, balance sheet, forecast, and budget reporting.\nReview and post journal entries and ensure timely completion of account reconciliations and financial analyses.\nManage engineering work orders, purchase orders, and invoicing activities while monitoring project costs, revenues, and profitability.\nAnalyze variances against forecasts, budgets, and project targets and recommend corrective actions.\nEnsure Engineering and Tooling balances are properly accounted for in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP requirements.\nMonitor overhead spending, labor hours, capital expenditures, and key performance indicators to support cost control and operational efficiency.\nBuild strong partnerships with Engineering, Sales, Program Management, Purchasing, Cost Analysis teams, and senior management to support business objectives.\nIdentify project-related financial risks and ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and SOX requirements.\nRequirements\n3+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, project finance, or a related finance role.\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.\nExperience with financial close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.\nProficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools, preferably MFG/Pro, Hyperion, or similar platforms.\nStrong analytical skills with experience in cost control, variance analysis, internal controls, and SOX compliance.\nCertifications / Licenses\nCPA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting certification preferred.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit-based employment practices and equal opportunity.\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
