Our solutions power the creation, delivery, and analysis of digital assessments used by leading education providers, publishers, businesses and EdTech companies worldwide, reaching millions of learners every year.\nOur products underpin high-stakes assessments and learning experiences, giving us a unique opportunity to shape how learning is measured and understood at scale.\nJob Description\nWe’re looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our team and help bring our new Workforce product roadmap to life.\nThis is an opportunity to play a key role in defining the frontend architecture and engineering practices of a new product, working across the full product lifecycle from early ideas and prototypes through to production.\nYou’ll be someone who:\nIs passionate about using technology to have a meaningful impact in Education and is excited about the opportunities AI creates.\nHas a deep understanding of modern frontend engineering and enjoys building high-quality, scalable web applications.\nCares about user experience, visual quality, accessibility, performance and the details that make great products feel great.\nKnows how to design and architect frontend applications that can evolve as a product grows.\nHas strong experience building reusable components, patterns and frontend libraries that enable teams to move quickly without sacrificing quality.\nUnderstands the value of design systems/component libraries and has experience contributing to or establishing them.\nEnjoys working closely with product managers and designers to turn ambiguous ideas into simple, and effective user experiences.\nIs comfortable working in a rapidly changing technology landscape and evaluating emerging technologies pragmatically.\nIs comfortable getting involved at every stage of the product lifecycle - from high-level ideation and prototyping through to implementation, testing, release and iteration.\nEnjoys mentoring other engineers and helping raise the technical bar across the team.\nRequirements\nCore Goals and Responsibilities:\nDesign, implement, test and support frontend applications for Learnosity’s Workforce product.\nDefine and evolve frontend architecture, patterns and engineering standards.\nBuild high-quality, reusable React components and frontend primitives that can be shared across the product.\nContribute to and help evolve our design system and component library.\nWork with designers to translate designs and interaction patterns into accessible, responsive and production-quality experiences.\nCollaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, designers and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end product capabilities.\nLead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.\nWrite high-quality, maintainable code with appropriate unit, integration and end-to-end test coverage.\nParticipate in code reviews and help establish best practices across the engineering team.\nIdentify and resolve complex frontend performance, usability and reliability issues.\nExperience and Skills\nMust haves:\n6+ years of professional experience building web applications, with significant experience working on modern frontend applications.\nStrong commercial experience with React and TypeScript.\nExperience building accessible interfaces following WCAG principles.\nDeep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, browser technologies and frontend engineering principles.\nStrong experience designing and building reusable, composable React components.\nExperience designing, implementing or evolving a design system across multiple products or teams.\nExperience building or maintaining a shared component library used by multiple teams.\nExperience working with component libraries, design systems or frontend design frameworks.\nExperience with modern component libraries such as shadcn/ui, Radix UI or similar.\nStrong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, data fetching and application structure.\nExperience building responsive, accessible and performant web applications.\nStrong understanding of frontend testing practices, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing.\nIt would be great if you had:\nB.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline.\nSome experience with Python or another backend language.\nStrong experience with modern CSS and utility-first approaches, ideally including Tailwind CSS.\nExperience with Storybook-driven development, visual regression testing or component testing.\nExperience with frontend performance optimisation, including Core Web Vitals and performance profiling.\nExperience working with AI-powered user experiences, large language models or AI-assisted development tools.\nExperience setting up or configuring CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment workflows.\nExperience working in a startup or startup-like environment, with a willingness to move quickly, experiment and learn.\nBenefits\nAnnual Leave\nMilestone Leave\nSick Days\nGenerous parental leave\nHealth & dental insurance\nPension contributions\nLearning & development support\nEmployee Assistance Program\nFlexible work practices\nCommuter benefits\nModern city-centre office\nLocation & Working Style\nOur team is based in Dublin City Centre.
