We’re looking for someone who can analyze, challenge, model scenarios, influence decisions, and continuously improve how we plan.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou’ll own the MPS across our planning horizon and work closely with teams throughout Leatherman to ensure our plan is realistic, achievable, and aligned with business priorities.\nYour work will include:\nDeveloping and maintaining the Master Production Schedule based on forecasted demand, inventory targets, customer requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.\nOwning Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and evaluating capacity, material, supplier, inventory, and operational constraints.\nLeading the monthly Supply Feasibility Review and pressure-testing proposed production plans.\nDeveloping supply scenarios and clearly communicating business tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations.\nEvaluating MPS change requests while protecting schedule stability and customer-service objectives.\nRecommending solutions including overtime, prebuilding, alternate routings, outsourcing, expediting, inventory strategies, and demand movement.\nPartnering across Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, Engineering, Sales, and other functions.\nMonitoring finished-goods inventory, production requirements, customer-service risks, and plan performance.\nDeveloping and monitoring planning KPIs, including MPS attainment, forecast accuracy, and capacity utilization.\nImproving master-scheduling methodologies, planning policies, ERP capabilities, and data quality.\nDeveloping and applying AI-enabled tools to accelerate planning analysis, reporting, and automation.\nServing as a subject-matter expert and trusted planning partner throughout the organization.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nWe’re looking for an experienced manufacturing planner who combines technical planning expertise, strong analytical ability, sound business judgment, and excellent communication skills.\nOur ideal candidate brings:\nA bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Statistics, or a combination of relevant education and experience.\n6+ years of planning experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong knowledge of master production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.\nDemonstrated ability to evaluate tradeoffs and make sound planning recommendations when information is incomplete or priorities compete.\nStrong cross-functional communication and influencing skills.\nExpertise using advanced planning/scheduling software and ERP systems.\nAdvanced Excel and data-analysis skills.\nExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred.\nExperience developing or applying AI-enabled tools to planning, reporting, or analysis.\nASCM CPIM or CSCP certification strongly preferred.\nMicrosoft Dynamics 365 ERP Fundamentals certification is a plus.\nHow We Work at Leatherman\nAt Leatherman, we care about what you accomplish and how you accomplish it.\nEmpowerment - Own Your Impact\nTake ownership of your decisions and understand how they affect our people, customers, and business.\nHunger - Raise the Bar\nKeep looking for ways to make our plans, processes, systems, and results better.\nCourage - Speak Honestly.
