Working closely with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, and consultants, you will help coordinate and oversee civil construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and quality requirements.This position is ideal for a motivated engineering professional with experience in heavy civil, transit, or infrastructure construction who is looking to develop their field execution expertise on a large-scale transportation project.\nApply today to join the Infrastructure team in Whitby, Ontario!\nEssential Responsibilities:\nImplement and maintain company systems, procedures, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.\nSupport the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.\nReview and coordinate technical documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, redlines, and design revisions.\nAssist with the development and execution of construction work packages and proactively identify and resolve constraints that may impact project progress.\nConduct field inspections to verify work is completed in accordance with approved drawings, quality standards, and project requirements.\nSupport the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program through site inspections, safety observations, hazard assessments, and participation in safety meetings.\nAssist with subcontractor management activities, including tender support, technical reviews, contract administration, progress tracking, and invoice verification.\nMonitor project schedules, track key milestones, and provide progress updates to project stakeholders.\nCoordinate procurement activities, including material requisitions, equipment requirements, delivery tracking, and vendor communications.\nSupport quality control and quality assurance processes, including inspections, testing, deficiency tracking, and records management.\nAssist in the management of change orders, contract modifications, and project documentation while ensuring compliance with contractual and financial requirements.\nMaintain accurate field records, daily reports, quantity tracking, and as-built documentation.\nSupport project closeout activities, including turnover documentation, deficiency resolution, and project demobilization.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.\n3 to 6 years of experience on heavy civil, transportation, transit, or infrastructure construction projects.\nExperience with foundations, piling, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, substructures, earthworks, or related civil construction activities is strongly preferred.\nStrong understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and contract documents.\nExperience reviewing and coordinating technical submittals and construction documentation.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\nExperience with AutoCAD or other construction drawing software is considered an asset.\nStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.\nDemonstrated commitment to safety and quality.\nValid Ontario Class G driver's license and access to reliable transportation are considered strong assets.\nFlexibility to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as required to support project needs.\nWork Conditions:\nSite-based position located in Whitby, Ontario.\nPrimarily field-oriented with regular exposure to active construction environments and varying weather conditions.\n#LI-NC1\n#LI-Onsite\nCompensation\n$98,550.00 - $131,400.00This is the expected base pay range for this role.
