You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the major oil sands mine expansion project for our client.Apply now and join the Ledcor team in For McMurray, AB!\nResponsibilities:\nEffectively and safely operates equipment utilizing machine specific controls and attachments to complete all necessary tasks related to heavy earthworks and construction.\nMust have experience in operating 80- and 100-Ton RT cranes, or 50T boom trucks with manbaskets. These Cranes will be assisting with lifting components to assemble high voltage structures.\nOperates in crowded, fast-paced working environments, and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety.\nInterprets verbal and non-verbal communication (including hand signals) from operators, ground personnel and Laborers, and acts accordingly.\nThis includes operating on adverse terrain, near other equipment and heavy trafficked areas\nConduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections, completes Hazard Assessments, and logs and reports any maintenance concerns with equipment\nMust have the ability to communicate well and work as part of a team\nEnsures the safety of the crew, equipment, and environment\nEnsures that work is completed during regular hours\nRequirements:\nPreferred 3+ years’ experience running a crane with the ability to operate other heavy equipment\nExperience of working on a construction project in an industrial setting\nMust possess a Red Seal certification with a recognized provincial training authority\nGood to have CSO/BSO\nMust successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing\nWork Conditions:\n14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift, 11.5 hour workdays.\nCrane tonnage premium in addition to base wage\nCamp based accommodation provided for non-local candidates\nTravel allowance provided from approved locations\nWork will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions\nBenefits provided by CLAC\nAdditional Information\nLedcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
