As a Road Patroller, you will be responsible for monitoring highway conditions, identifying and documenting deficiencies, responding to hazards, and supporting maintenance operations in accordance with contractual performance standards. This role combines independent field work, public safety, data collection, and hands-on maintenance activities.If you are safety-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoy working outdoors in varying conditions, we encourage you to apply.\nEssential Responsibilities\nConduct scheduled highway patrols and inspections in accordance with performance specifications and response requirements\nMonitor, assess, and report highway conditions, roadway hazards, and infrastructure deficiencies\nIdentify, document, and track defects using electronic field applications, tablets, and reporting systems\nRespond promptly to incidents, emergency situations, and hazardous conditions that may impact the travelling public\nComplete required inspections of highway assets, including signage, roadway surfaces, lighting, guardrail systems, and other infrastructure\nPerform minor maintenance activities during patrols, including -debris and litter removal, sign straightening and minor repairs, hazard mitigation and cleanup\nCommunicate maintenance priorities and defect information to supervisors and operations teams\nAssist maintenance crews with general highway maintenance duties\nParticipate in emergency response operations as required\nPromote and maintain Ledcor's commitment to health, safety, and environmental stewardship\nQualifications\nValid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.\nStrong understanding of highway infrastructure, including roadway surfaces, signage, guardrail systems, and related assets.\nExcellent observation skills and attention to detail.\nExperience using tablets, mobile devices, and electronic field-based reporting applications.\nAbility to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.\nStrong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather and road conditions.\nWork Conditions\nWork is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.\nPatrollers work assigned shifts based on operational requirements.\nEvening, night shift, weekend, and emergency response work may be required during weather events, emergencies, or changing operational demands.\nTravel throughout designated highway maintenance areas is required.\nAdditional Information\nLedcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
