With a strong background in the telecommunications industry, you are proficient in safely daylighting, trenching, and digging around utilities, ensuring precise and efficient work while maintaining strict safety standards.Your expertise allows you to navigate complex sites and handle sensitive utilities with confidence.\nLearn more about working at Ledcor: Watch here.\nJoin the Ledcor Technical Services team today and play a key role in advancing telecommunications infrastructure in Milton, ON.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nDaylighting and soft excavating for telecommunication, hydro, gas, and water\nEnsure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, Ontario Infrastructure guidelines and acting in a safe manner at all times\nPerform pre and post trip inspections by following company policies and procedure for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure Hydro Vac is clean and operating properly\nComplete all required paperwork daily\nSet up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures by Hydrovac operation\nHandle and distribute construction materials, loading and unloading vehicles with supplies, equipment, remove all debris from work sites\nQualifications:\n2-3 years of experience operating a Hydro Vac (experience with Rival HVACs is an asset).\nProficient in reading and understanding design drawings.\nCapable of reading locates and identifying discrepancies in the field.\nPrevious experience in telecommunications is an asset.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nMust have and maintain a valid AZ or DZ driver’s license and be able to provide a clean driver’s abstract.\nStrong knowledge of construction documents.\nAbility to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, interpret their needs, and identify solutions.\nWorking Conditions:\nAble to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.\nTravel to various sites in the surrounding Milton, ON area\nWorking outdoors in various weather conditions\nCompensation\n$37.06 - $46.16 per hourThis is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.\nRemote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.\nWe are committed to the long-term success and wellbeing of our employees.
