You will be responsible for winter maintenance of Alberta highways, using various trucks and heavy equipment.\nWatch Ledcor’s Innovation, Culture and Community video to see what it’s like working for Ledcor and apply today to join the Ledcor Highways team in various locations across Alberta.\nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdhNKGIZL4c\nEssential Responsibilities: \nOperate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required \nMaintain Alberta Provincial Highways including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.) \nWork outside in all weather conditions \nQualifications: \nSuccessful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing \nAbility to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.\nValid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement \nClear 3-year driver’s abstract \nPrevious experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset, training provided\nWork Conditions: \nAs we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required\nBenefits and RSPs provided by CLAC\nRates & Premiums:\nWill be provided a base hourly rate from $27.25/hour to $31.75/hour based on experience \nOperators will be eligible to receive premiums starting at $8/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations \nOperators will be eligible to receive a premium starting at $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit\nAdditional Information\nLedcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
