You will also serve as a day-to-day resource for junior team members, contributing to a supportive and high-performing project finance team.\nCome and join the True Blue team and build your career with one of Canada's most established construction companies.\nEssential Responsibilities\nDeliver accurate and complete accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions for assigned projects, acting as a reliable resource for P1 Project Accountants on day-to-day financial processing questions\nCoordinate the preparation and timely submission of detailed client invoices, ensuring billing accuracy and alignment with contract terms, project milestones, and applicable tax requirements\nProcess subcontract payments including reconciliation of invoices to subcontracts and validation of compliance documentation for completeness prior to approval\nValidate and deliver accurate labour and equipment time capture, including billing rates, resource classifications, and chart of account maintenance across assigned projects\nSupport month-end close activities including costing entries, cost report preparation, and reviewing project financials with project teams to identify variances and drive timely resolution\nAssist the Senior Project Accountant with payment collection follow-up and resolution of outstanding client payment issues, maintaining accurate records throughout\nDeliver ad hoc financial reports and conduct basic analysis for project teams, identifying cost trends, anomalies, and potential risks and communicating findings clearly to stakeholders\nUtilize internal and external project systems including ERP, PMIS, and billing platforms; perform intermediate Excel functions (PivotTables, SUMIFs, lookups) and support system ticket submissions for project financial activities\nQualifications\nMinimum 2 years of experience in a project accounting or related financial role, with demonstrated ability to independently manage AR/AP transactions, client invoicing, and month-end activities\nCollege diploma or technical certification in Business or Commerce is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered\nWorking knowledge of project accounting principles, including subcontract management, cost coding, equipment utilization, and basic contractual and commercial terms in a construction context\nExperience with ERP and PMIS systems; familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) is a significant asset\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, SUMIFs, and lookup functions, with strong overall comfort in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)\nStrong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify variances in cost data and communicate findings clearly to project teams and leadership\nSolid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple active projects and deadlines simultaneously\nProfessional communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients, suppliers, and project operations teams; a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites are assets\nWork Environment\nHybrid role with work split across home office, corporate office, and project site locations; occasional travel to project sites required (estimated less than 25% of time)\nHiring for multiple positions. Suitable candidate for Ledcor Construction: Hybrid role, on-site 3-4 days per week in Caledon Ontario. Suitable candidate for Ledcor Highways: Hybrid role, with travel every couple of months to Sault Ste Marie.\nCompensation\n$62,800.00 - $86,350.00This is the expected base pay range for this role.
