You have a proven track record for meetings, budgets, schedules, and scope for a demanding set of projects and clients.\nApply today to join our construction team in Whitby, Ontario!\nEssential Responsibilities:\nReview project contractual documents to gain an understanding of the project requirements (design, specifications, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and environmental requirements) necessary to complete the project within the required time frame\nLiaise and coordinate with the designer, technical department and client in all technical aspects \nReview and understand project design, technical reports and background information \nDevelop an execution plan that outlines construction staging and sequence, construction workplans, materials, equipment, subcontracting, and other services that are necessary to deliver the project on time and within budget \nProvide technical assistance and recommend construction methods and equipment\nManage quantity take offs, bill of quantities, estimating and develop scope of works related to the structural and civil scope.\nLead project activities to ensure that the project is executed in accordance with the designs, budgets and schedules; take appropriate action to minimize the impact of deviations\nDevelop and manage client relationship and expectations, progress reports, communication, paperwork, meetings, etc. \nMonitor and oversee onsite activities, quality, productivity, progress, and safety of employees and subcontractors and ensure implementation of all procedures and work plans\nAnticipate potential roadblocks and develop solutions to prevent issue from arising; resolve any problems that may arise during project execution\nImplement and monitor safety programs\nManage requests for information and issue field instructions\nPrepare progress reports\nPerform other duties as needed \nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering \n8+ years of experience working with a major contractor on large heavy civil and bridges projects\nExperience with construction of new bridges (Rail and Road bridges)\nExperience in working within Railway corridors and understanding of rail corridor requirements and rail corridor work plan requirements\nExperience with in-water works including familiarity with CLOCA requirements and planning construction activities within creeks or watercourses.\nWorking knowledge of MTO and Ontario municipalities road construction standards and processes and knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications\nDemonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teams \nExperience successfully planning and executing projects on schedule and within budget\nExperience working with programs including Excel, MS Projects, Word, Power Point and Bluebeam \nExcellent technical, communication, organizational, managerial and planning skills\nExcellent people and leadership skills\nWork Conditions:\nSite based position in Whitby, Ontario\n#LI-NC1 #LI-Onsite\nCompensation\n$121,500.00 - $162,000.00This is the expected base pay range for this role.
