You have a forward-thinking mindset, take pride in delivering high-quality work, and are motivated to grow your career while making a meaningful impact on the business.\nJoin Ledcor's Financial Operations team in Edmonton or Fort McMurray, AB by applying today!\nEssential responsibilities:\nAnalyze project costs and provide insights to support strategic decision-making\nImplement and maintain cost control systems to ensure projects stay within budget\nComprehend and communicate key commercial terms of project contracts to all relevant parties\nEffectively report project financials and interpretations to leadership for decision-making\nContribute to the development and implementation of collective agreements affecting project costs\nCollect and submit necessary documentation (e.g., statutory declarations, WCB clearance letters) for invoicing\nPrepare and submit Letters of Engagement/Monthly Invoices (LEMs) to clients in accordance with the terms\nGather third-party invoices to support accurate and timely client billing\nPrepare and submit monthly equipment rental billings, progress invoices, and manage holdback releases\nProcess and reconcile electronic billing submissions, ensuring alignment with client billing systems\nQualifications:\nThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role\nMust have a post-secondary business degree\nMust have Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy & Petrochemical or a related industry is preferred\nMust have knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large ERP is preferred\nWorking knowledge of construction methods\nFinancial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates, equipment capital decisions, and profitability analysis\nWorking knowledge of construction accounting principles\nWorking knowledge of construction software systems\nStrong analytical skills and problem solving\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)\nWork Conditions:\nThis is primarily a site based position in Edmonton or Fort McMurray, with an inclusion of a hybrid opportunity provided depending on business needs \nAdditional Information\nThe Ledcor Group of Companies is one of North America’s most diversified construction companies.
