In this senior-level capacity, you will provide strategic direction, lead cross-functional teams, optimize operational performance, and contribute to a culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nThis role oversees multiple highway maintenance projects with total project durations ranging from three to ten years in various locations and varying levels of complexity across multiple clients and distinct contract requirements. The typical total revenue portfolio for this role is approximately $60M per year, with individual projects values ranging from $5M to $30M per year.\nThe role typically oversees between three and seven direct reports and interacts closely with the operations teams to facilitate project delivery with dedicated workforces, typically ranging from 20 - 70 craft employees and associated subcontractors and vendors.\nClick the link below to see what its like to work with Ledcor Highways and apply today to join our true-blue team.\nhttp://youtu.be/mdhNKGIZL4c?si=lStUbX2o49ex9ybN\nEssential Responsibilities:\nChampion and uphold Ledcor’s safety-first culture, ensuring all safety and\n\nenvironmental standards are met or exceeded on all project work sites\n\nOversee the project financial health, including project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation using industry-standard tools and methodologies\n\nManage project systems, including cost tracking, reporting, and documentation\n\nSupport the implementation of the Quality Management Program and ensure\n\ncompliance with internal and external quality specifications and requirements\n\nCoordinate with team members to engage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services\n\nEffective contract execution and change order management\n\nEngage with and support labour relations, human resources, and payroll teams with the application of systems such as Workday and InEight\n\nBe a key conduit and primary holder of the client relationship at the project level\n\nKey Considerations and Qualifications:\nMinimum 10 (ten) years' experience working in dynamic project manager roles, including construction, services or industrial settings\n\nDeep understanding of Health and Safety as a core company value\n\nExperience working with Canadian Construction Safety Association (CCSA) members would be an asset\n\nAn engineering, Master of Business Administration, Financial designation or other relevant post secondary degree would be considered an asset\n\nDemonstrated understanding of key Project Manager responsibilities\n\nOpen to relocation to the Edmonton area (relocation packages available)\n\nLeadership:\nSuccessful track record of leading teams up to 7 direct reports across remote worksites, including employee growth and development, coaching, setting and monitoring performance and expectations\n\nUse of formal performance processes would be an asset\n\nContract Management:\nUnderstand, interpret and communicate contract and performance requirements\n\nUse of change management processes, including change orders and scope adjustments\n\nCollaboration and escalation processes including demonstrated communication strategies to address, mitigate and resolve contractual challenges or disputes\n\nStrong financial acumen, including project estimates, budgets, project contracts and forecasting.\n\nUse of InEight Software and JDE would be highly beneficial\n\nApplication and utilization of standard project controls processes including quantity tracking, earned value, scheduling (MS Project), accruals and deferrals\n\nOperations:\nStrong ability to build relationships and support operations across\n\nmultiple geographically diverse worksites, including summer and\n\nwinter operations\n\nAble to suggest and make recommendations optimized and efficient\n\nconstruction practices to support fiscal performance\n\nHighly experienced in project scheduling and subcontract management\n\nHighly experienced in change management, including leading and affecting\n\npositive change\n\nAdditional Information\nThe Ledcor Group of Companies is one of North America’s most diversified construction companies.
