If so, we would love to hear from you!\nApply today to join our Building Construction team in Toronto!\nEssential Responsibilities:\nReview project contracts to understand requirements including timelines, budget, safety, quality, staffing, materials, and equipment needs.\nLiaise and coordinate with designers, technical teams, and clients on all technical aspects.\nAnalyze project designs, technical reports, and background information.\nDevelop and implement execution plans detailing construction staging, workplans, materials, subcontracting, and equipment needs.\nCoordinate with discipline managers to ensure proper construction sequencing and staging.\nProvide technical assistance and recommend effective construction methods and equipment.\nManage quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and scope development for civil, earthworks, and wet utilities.\nOversee project execution to meet design, budget, and schedule goals, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships, including managing expectations, progress reports, and communication.\nMonitor and ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and adherence to contractual obligations.\nOversee onsite activities, quality, productivity, progress, and safety of teams and subcontractors.\nAddress potential roadblocks proactively and resolve any arising issues.\nImplement and monitor safety programs.\nManage requests for information and issue field instructions as needed.\nPrepare comprehensive progress reports.\nQualifications:\n10+ years of experience as Project Manager with a major general contractor managing large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects.\nCompletion of post-secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.\nFull cycle new build project experience working on Major Projects is required, overlooking all phases and scopes from structural, civil, M&E and architectural.\nPMP or relevant certification is desirable\nDemonstrated ability to plan and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints.\nProficiency in interpreting and applying contract law and language.\nExperience with project management tools such as Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.\nStrong technical, communication, organizational, managerial, and planning skills.\nExceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities.\nWork Conditions:\nFull-time, site-based position located in either Pickering or Caledon, supporting a major commercial construction project.\nValid driver's license and a clean abstract.\n#LI-NC1\n#LI-Onsite\nCompensation\nOur competitive total rewards package provides compensation and benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
