Join our Technical Services team in Ontario today!\nLearn more about working at Ledcor: Watch here.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nEnsures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications and applicable building codes and that efficiency in labour and materials maintain high quality standards. Leads development of Project Quality Plan (PQP) and ensures PQP conformance\n\nLeads Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) development and recommends changes and areas for improvement. Leads the incident investigation process\n\nReviews and updates the construction schedule on large and complex projects and ensures milestones and completion dates are met. Recognizes & analyzes scheduling issues/delays and leads solution development. Contributes to the development of project schedules\n\nEstimates duration of activities and materials required for large and complex multi-discipline estimates, including design-build joint venture (DBJV) scope of P3 pursuits. Assists estimating team with development of the schedule, execution plan, and labour requirements for project pursuits\n\nAssumes leadership role and provides guidance and mentorship to specific project staff and superintendents in multiple teams, setting priorities and allocating resources to meet operational objectives\n\nParticipates in subcontract and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations\n\nQualifications:\n15 years of powerline construction experience and 5+ experience as a superintendent\n\nCompleted post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience\n\nThorough understanding of current utilities construction practices, construction documents, contracts, costs and budgets\n\nAbility to plan and manage a project schedule, anticipating constructability issues, and leading development of solutions for moderate to complex situations within scope of responsibility\n\nAbility to communicate effectively and persuasively, anticipating stakeholder needs while leading and mentoring diverse teams\n\nA track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating, coaching, and consensus-building\n\nPrevious staff supervision experience\n\nClean drivers abstract\n\nExperience on industrial / oil & gas, or mining projects and asset\n\nWorking Conditions:\nSite-based role, with a possible rotational shift depending on project location\n\nA living out allowance or accommodations will be provided. Travel allowances will be provided\n\nIn between projects will be a mix of in-office work and work from home\n\nCompensation\n$128,800.00 - $177,100.00This is the expected base pay range for this role.
