You’ll also foster strong working relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and fellow site staff to maintain a collaborative and solutions focused work environment.\nCome and join our Mining team today!\nEssential Responsibilities:\nSupervise and lead crews of miners, operators, and maintenance personnel, fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork\nCoordinate daily production schedules, shift assignments, and equipment utilization to meet or exceed mining and crushing targets\nOversee mining activities including drilling, blasting, ground support, ore extraction, and material handling systems\nSupervise and support crushing plant operations, including crushers, conveyor belts, screens, and ore processing systems to maximize throughput\nCoordinate crusher availability, belt inspections, and screen performance to ensure consistent and efficient ore flow\nWork closely with maintenance teams to plan and execute preventative maintenance on crushing and processing equipment, minimizing downtime\nSupport planned shutdowns, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintenance activities across both mining and crushing circuits\nConduct daily safety meetings, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and company safety standards\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production rates, crusher throughput, equipment availability, and safety metrics\nTroubleshoot operational challenges in real time across both mine and plant operations\nLead coordination between mining, plant operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless production flow\nReport daily production and performance metrics to management, ensuring clear communication across shifts\nAssist in hiring, training, mentoring, and developing crew members to build high-performing teams\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives, including plant optimization, process efficiency, and new development projects\nQualifications:\n7-10+ years of experience in mining operations with supervisory responsibilities\nStrong background in underground and/or surface mining operations\nProven experience with crushing systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment\nDemonstrated ability to manage crews of 20+ personnel in demanding environments\nWorking knowledge of crusher circuits, ore flow optimization, and plant troubleshooting\nProven ability to meet production targets across both mining and processing functions\nStrong understanding of equipment maintenance practices and coordination\nExperience with production planning, scheduling, and KPI tracking\nExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills\nProficient in reporting tools and systems (e.g., Excel, SAP, or similar platforms)\nWorking Conditions:\nSite based position\nAble to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)\nAbility to work a non-traditional schedule that could include nights and weekends\nAdditional Information\nLedcor Heavy Civil and Mining services reach across the lifespan of a mine, from facility construction, to full-scale contract mining of coal, minerals, or metals, all the way to mine reclamation.
