You will develop and implement project plans and schedules, uphold company safety and quality programs, and direct the work of field staff, contractors, and trades.Apply today to join our growing Building’s Construction team in Edmonton, AB\n Essential Responsibilities:\nOversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects to completion\n\nPromotes the overall site safety program including subcontractor compliance with Ledcor standards, the Health Safety and Environmental Plan (HSE Plan), and all applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes\n\nEnsures that field staff are equipped with the resources required to efficiently complete projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable building codes\n\nActively participates in the pre-bid and preconstruction process regarding site layout, logistics, scheduling, and workforce planning, with consideration for tenant improvement and special project requirements\n\nEnsures project execution aligns with Ledcor’s Construction Operations Manual and takes ownership of developing the Project Quality Program (PQP)\n\nReview and maintain schedule, ensure milestones are met, identify scheduling issues and delays and lead solution development across tenant improvement and special projects\n\nMaintains strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients/consultants in fast-paced project environments\n\nSupports and promotes Ledcor’s core values of safety, quality, integrity, sustainability and success\n\nManaging hourly employees as required, including forepersons, carpenters, and labour staff\n\nQualifications:\n5+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent position or similar, with tenant improvement and/or special project experience\n\nAbility to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test\n\nCombination of work experience in a similar role and industry-related trade certification/education\n\nExpertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulations\n\nExcellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior management\n\nStrong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiations\n\nExpertise in coaching and developing team members through constructive feedback and providing opportunities for development\n\nAbility to anticipate problems and challenges, while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives\n\nWorking Conditions:\nSite-based position in Edmonton, AB\n\nAdditional Information\nLedcor Building offers full-service construction for commercial, residential, institutional, and light industrial projects, along with expertise in green building.
