Everyone benefits handsomely from Ledgebrook’s success.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to help us solve the complex, technical challenges of a changing insurance landscape. The ideal candidate loves to build, communicates well with team members , and is motivated by a less bureaucracy. This person will be a key member of our engineering team, with direct ownership of many parts of the stack.\nWhat you’ll do\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop new features and enhance existing applications.\nDesign and implement frontend and backend components using Python and JavaScript (Node.js)\nDevelop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services as needed.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.\nImplement automated tests and ensure high code quality through code reviews and continuous integration.\nOptimize application performance and scalability to handle growing user demands.\nDive into using and building LLMs (Large Language Models) to enhance our underwriters' productivity.\nDebug production issues using the latest tooling.\nHelp set the direction of the small but growing engineering team.\nRequirements\nMust haves\n3+ years of experience with the full stack development\nAbility to facilitate and gather business requirements and come up with scalable engineering solutions\nStrong ability to design data models based on business domain use cases\nProven ability to write code for the future, with a strong focus on maintainability and testability\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools using Github Actions, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins, or other\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills\nDemonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously per the objectives/goals of the organization and execute to deadlines\nNice to haves\nPrior startup experience\nExperience solving insurance industry / domain related challenges\nExperience in web technologies and frameworks (JS/TS, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Angular, React, Bootstrap, Node.js)\nFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\nFor Candidates Applying From Poland:\nPlease note: This position is open only to candidates who are authorized to work in Poland without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. This is a good-faith compensation range based on what Ledgebrook reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting.
