Candidates must be located in the Fredericksburg area or willing to relocate.\nJob Responsibilities\nCreate CAD drawings and details for site, subdivision, and infrastructure plans\nContribute to the preparation of full sets of construction plans\nSite layout and utility design including water, sanitary, and storm sewer\nHorizontal and vertical roadway design\nPrepare erosion and sediment control plans\nGenerate SWM/BMP facilities hydrologic computations\nPerform pavement design computations\nPerform site distance analysis\nSite & house grading\nWaterline analysis\nComplete SWM plans and design BMP facilities\nPrepare site work quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bond estimates\nPrepare planning/zoning exhibits & plans\nLandscape design\nTraffic control design (fire lane, TMP, etc.)\nUtilize ITE manual, lighting software, landscaping, HY-8, etc.\nPerform quality control and plan reviews\nPlan-CDP’s, GDP’s, CUP’s, layout feasibilities, site feasibilities, grading studies, etc.\nCoordinate with other staff as necessary\nManage deadlines and communicate progress of multiple on-going projects\nAssist project managers with deliverables for city/county/federal/private submissions\nSite visits to inspect and document conditions and/or construction progress and assist in field revisions and as-built projects (if local)\nAny other assigned tasks\nQualifications\nMinimum of 1-3 years’ experience with design and management of land development engineering projects\nExperience with preparing and processing land development applications is preferred but not required\nBasic understanding and willingness to learn civil engineering concepts and locality requirements which include but are not limited to zoning/planning exhibits & layouts, utility & storm sewer design, grading concepts on large and small scales, stormwater management, landscape design, etc.\nGIS experience preferred\nMotivated and dedicated personality - willingness to learn and grow\nFamiliarity with industry standards and requirements\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydraflow, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred\nExperience providing excellent customer service\nTeam player with great interpersonal and communication skills\nAbility to lift and/or move 50+ pounds.\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time in an office environment.\nAbility to maintain a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.\nAttention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills required.\nUse of company provided equipment and working knowledge of MS Office programs.\nAny other assigned tasks\nBenefits -\n8 Paid Holidays\n15 days of PTO\nComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage including a no cost employee medical option\nHSA and FSA plans available\nEmployer paid Short Term, Long Term, Life and AD&D Insurance plans\n401k plan with up to 5% match\nContinuing education and certifications provided\nSome roles might be eligible for our hybrid working program\nAnd many more great benefits including numerous sponsored company events\nLegacy Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
