Online K–12 Teacher

Legacy Online School is looking for an experienced, student-centered online teacher to join our international remote teaching team.

Role Description

We are looking for a qualified educator to teach in our international remote learning environment. Depending on your background and the school’s current needs, the teaching assignment may include a core academic subject, Health & Physical Education, or instruction supporting students with IEPs and additional learning needs.

At Legacy Online School, teachers deliver engaging live online lessons and support students through personalized learning pathways.

What you will do

• Teach engaging live online classes and, where assigned, 1:1 lessons
• Adapt instruction to different learning needs, abilities, and learning profiles
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate student records and monitor academic progress
• Monitor attendance, engagement, and assignment completion
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school colleagues
• Use the school’s LMS and online teaching tools effectively
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, respectful, and motivating virtual classroom

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area
• Valid teaching certification or license
• At least 2 years of relevant K-12 teaching experience
• Online teaching experience preferred
• Strong subject knowledge and confident use of educational technology
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with differentiated instruction
• Special education or IEP experience is an advantage for relevant teaching assignments

Remuneration

• Base rate: $10/hour
• Performance-based salary increases
• Conversion bonuses, when applicable
• Annual performance bonus of up to 10% of annual earnings
• Opportunities for advancement into Lead Teacher or other academic roles
