You'll work closely with engineering, product, architecture and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions that create value for our customers and support our business ambitions.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nLeading and developing a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, secure and reliable software solutions\nPrioritising, planning and overseeing delivery activities to achieve predictable and effective outcomes\nDesigning and building scalable, maintainable software while remaining an active hands-on engineer\nCoaching, mentoring and supporting engineers through feedback and structured development plans\nEmbedding a culture of quality, testing and security across day-to-day engineering practices\nDriving continuous improvement through delivery metrics, operational insights and observability data\nManaging operational readiness, incident response processes and technical debt to maintain resilient systems\nCollaborating with product, architecture and business stakeholders to remove blockers and deliver customer value\nWho we're looking for:\nSignificant hands-on Java engineering experience, including building and operating Spring Boot microservices\nStrong understanding of modern software architecture principles, including domain-driven and event-driven design\nProven experience leading engineering teams and developing people through coaching and mentoring\nExcellent knowledge of test-driven development, quality engineering practices and automated testing approaches\nExperience working with CI/CD practices, modern version control workflows and software delivery pipelines\nStrong understanding of secure software development, operational readiness and observability practices\nAbility to balance technical, commercial and delivery considerations while influencing stakeholders effectively\nPassion for building inclusive, collaborative environments where individuals and teams can perform at their best\nWhatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
