We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer with a solid software engineering background who finds the repetitive work across our teams and automates it: with code, with AI, and with systems that keep running long after the demo.\nYour mission\nIdentify manual, repetitive workflows across Sales, Customer Success, Finance and Operations, and replace them with reliable automation.\nDesign, build and operate internal tools, integrations and AI agents in Python: version controlled, tested, monitored and deployed through CI/CD.\nIntegrate our internal systems (e.g. HubSpot, Younium, Google Workspace, Slack, Linear and our own product platform) via REST APIs, webhooks and event driven pipelines on our Kafka based platform.\nBuild LLM powered workflows and agents, e.g. on AWS Bedrock, for tasks such as data enrichment, document handling, triage and reporting.\nHost and run what you build: deployment, monitoring, updates, backups and security patches. You build it, you run it.\nOwn the internal tool stack and its integrations end to end, and keep it documented so others can rely on it.\nYour profile\n3 or more years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in Python (TypeScript is fine too).\nYou code with AI every day: you use AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to ship faster, and you have the engineering judgement to review, test and own what they produce.\nA solid understanding of systems: APIs, webhooks, databases and how data flows between tools.\nExperience hosting and operating services: Docker, Linux, CI/CD and at least one cloud, ideally AWS.\nComfortable with SQL and data modelling.\nUnderstanding of event driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka is a plus.\nExperience building with LLM APIs or agent frameworks is a plus.\nA structured, ownership driven way of working, comfortable in a fast moving scale up where not everything is documented yet.\nFluent English, German is a plus.\nWhy us?\nLegartis exists to unlock legal work at scale.\nWork in a Legal AI scale up with a flat hierarchy and a team that takes the work seriously without taking itself too seriously.\nReal ownership from day one.\nCompetitive compensation package including participation in our Employee Stock Option Plan.\nHybrid work environment with at least two days / week in our Leipzig office.\nRegular team events in Germany and Switzerland.\nBuild with the newest AI tooling every day, and shape how a fast-growing AI company runs internally.\nYour first 90 days\nIn your first month you map our internal workflows and tool stack and ship your first automation to production.
